This stamp set, You're My Type, in the new Occasions mini catalog is one I really like. It may not seem so versatile at first glance, but I see lots of possibilities with it. This card is made with Pool Party and Island Indigo card stock, two of the current In Colors from Stampin' Up. Lucky Limeade Classic ink, another In Color, was used to create the Rolling Marble background. The heart was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder then punched with the Heart to Heart punch.

I can't really complain about our weather this winter. It's been rainy and wet but we haven't had much snow or ice. Yet, the dreary sky made me wish for spring so I chose pastels for this card -- Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, and Whisper White. The polka dots are not ribbon or DSP but were stamped in Whisper White craft ink on Certainly Celery card stock. The flower was cut and embossed with a retired Embosslit, the leaves cut with the Little Leaves Sizzlit, and the lace with the Eyelet border punch. The center of the flower is a rhinestone brad. The greeting is from the Short and Sweet set. Card design CASEd from one posted to SCS by bon2stamp.

I just love it when a quick and simple card is so pretty! This one has a Poppy Parade card base and Everyday Enchantment DSP from the new Sale-a-Bration catalog. (You can get this DSP free with a $50 purchase!) The window was cut with the new heart Framelits in the Occasions mini catalog and the little heart was punched from the Heart to Heart punch. A little rhinestone was added to the little heart to give it some bling. The sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card in Basic Black and is from the Short and Sweet set.

This card features the Take It to Heart stamp set from the new Occasions mini catalog stamped on watercolor paper in StazOn black ink. The image was colored with Watercolor Wonder crayons. The heart shapes were cut with the new Framelits also in the Occasions mini. The Bashful Blue heart was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and the Pretty in Pink card base was embossed in the Framed Tulips folder.

So nice to have found time to stamp today! I saw a card on SCS that I liked but the description stated that the stamp set used was only available in Europe, so I improvised with stamps and embellishments that I had. Not everything I used was from Stampin' Up! but I did use the same colors, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso, the Four Frames and Language of Friendship stamp sets, Basic Pearls, Antique Brad, and the Decorative Label punch.

If you visit my blog much, you know that I like simple designs. This card was CASEd from one posted to SCS by Fionna51. The base is Night of Navy card stock and the image and sentiment from the Come to Bethlehem stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy Classic ink on Shimmery White card stock. A rhinestone added to the star completed the card.

Thanks to those of you who have visited my blog even though I have not posted much lately. My husband had been very ill and in the hospital for several weeks. He's doing better now and I hope to find time for stamping again soon.

Lovely as a Tree is one of my favorite stamp sets. I like creating a different Christmas card each year using the single tree stamp in that set. The one below was stamped in gold pigment ink and embossed with gold embossing powder on Shimmery White card stock. Old Olive card stock was embossed in the Finial Press embossing folder and gold shimmer paint was lightly added to the raised images using a small sponge dauber. The matted tree image was glued to the Old Olive piece which was glued to an Early Espresso card base.

I love the Dasher stamp so when I saw the card on SCS by hinchy78 I had to CASE it. Dasher was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on Shimmery White card stock then matted on Cherry Cobbler card stock. Snowflakes from the Punch Pals stamp set were stamped in Early Espresso on Crumbcake card stock and Cherry Cobbler quilted ribbon was wrapped around it. All this was put together and added to a card base of Early Espresso card stock.

This fun and easy Christmas card was CASEd from one created by Shelly Peck. You may have seen it last month on the SU STARS Holiday Hoopla blog hop. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Sizzix Top Note die and layer it on a Basic Black card base. The eyes were punched from Basic Black card stock using a 1/2 inch circle punch, the beak from the small oval punch, and the feet from the curly label punch. The scarf is Wild Wasabi ribbon that was retired a few years ago.

Working on Christmas cards today between loads of laundry. This is the first time I've ever made a spinner card and it was fun! The design was CASEd from Michelle Rey on SCS. Stamp set is Snow Much Fun, card stock is Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Whisper White. Images were colored with Stampin Write markers. I LOVE Dazzling Diamonds glitter but waited until after scanning the card to add it along the snow bank. We will make this one in stamp club next month!

One last Halloween card for this year. This was a quick and easy one created using the Festive and Fun stamp set, Frightful Sight DSP, Basic Black and Old Olive card stock. The Old Olive card stock was run through the crimper, the image was colored with Stampin Write markers, and the bats were punched from a punch I've had for a very long time.

Here's a card we will be making in stamp club this Saturday. It was made using the emboss resist technique, Lovely as a Tree stamp set, a script background stamp, Whisper White, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Old Olive card stock, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Old Olive Classic ink, leaves cut with a Sizzix die in my Big Shot, and linen thread. I added a little Log Cabin and Gold Glow Smooch Spritz to the leaves and like how it makes them look like real fall leaves. This could be a masculine birthday card, a get well or thinking of you card so club members will be able to choose from a variety of stamps for the inside sentiment.

I've been working on bookmarks this week. I used the Inspired by Nature stamp set, Stampin' Write markers to color the rubber before stamping, Early Espresso, Old Olive, and Naturals White card stock, a jumbo eyelet, and Early Espresso ribbon on this one:

For this one I used Crumb Cake and Naturals White card stock, Bermuda Bay DSP from a retired Prints Pack, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, an embossing folder, Basic pearls, a jumbo grommet, and Bermuda Bay ribbon.

On this one I used the Your a Gem and the retired Knobbly Gnomes stamp set, Stampin' Write markers to color the gnome, Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red, and Natural White card stock, the Square Lattice embossing folder, and a miniature art hook to hold the red and blue ribbon.

Our theme this month is Halloween and Fall Happenings. I used Haunted Forest, one of the new a la carte stamps in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog. It was stamped in black StazOn ink on glossy white paper with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Poppy Parade Classic inks sponged on. The moon was created by placing a circle punched from a Post It note over the owl before sponging on the colors. Frightful Sight DSP was layered onto the Basic Black card stock base and some retired black and white SU ribbon complete the card.

I'd seen a few telescoping cards online and decided to give it a try. Since it's made with circles, a snowman came to mind. Basic Gray Classic ink was sponged around the edge of the circles. The snowflake was cut from the Northern Frost Sizzlit, the carrot was cut free hand, and the rest was created with punches. A rhinestone was added to the center of the snowflake.

I was so pleased with my first attempt at the Vanilla Double technique, I thought I'd try a more seasonal one. This card features the new Snow Much Fun stamp set colored with markers and Serene Snowflakes used to create the background. Card stock is Whisper White, Baja Breeze, and Not Quite Navy. The snowflake with the rhinestone center was cut from the Northern Frost Decorative strip. A little Frost White shimmer paint was added to the snowman, snowballs, and die cut snowflake.

I'd been wanting to try the Vanilla Double technique and thought the retired set Heartfelt would work perfectly. This technique is so easy and makes a very pretty background. Card stock used was Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, and Elegant Eggplant. The focal image was colored on the stamp with Stampin Write markers and Elegant Eggplant gross grain ribbon tied in a knot finished this card.

I love scrapbooking. I'm so glad I found time to work on a few pages during the Labor Day weekend. The patterned paper used for the base of this page was purchased at a scrapbook convention several years ago. The other DSP and Basic Black and Baja Breeze card stock are from Stampin' Up! I printed their names on the computer and punched them out with the Decorative Label punch. The Sweet Shoppe alphabet set was used to stamp the page title in Basic Black Classic ink.

I have several scrapbooks with photos of our nieces and nephews when they were small or growing up. This is the title page for an album with photos of them as adults. The patterned paper is some I bought at a scrapbook convention a few years ago, the poem was printed from my computer on River Rock card stock and matted on Always Artichoke card stock. Images from the Sense of Time set were stamped in VersaMark ink behind the poem. Tiny brads were added where the corners were punched with the ticket corner punch. The clock on the "time flies" embellishment was heat embossed on River Rock card stock with VersaMark and River Rock Classic ink and the wings were stamped in River Rock Classic ink with the retired Weathered background stamp and cut from River Rock card stock with a Tim Holtz die.

The image and sentiment were heat embossed in Black and Liquid Applique was used for the lamb's wool. Black and white gingham ribbon was tied around the Real Red layer.

This long retired stamp set, Farm Fever, makes the cutest get well cards. This one was stamped on water color paper and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons. The Wild Wasabi paisley DSP is from an old print pack, the card stock is Not Quite Navy, and the ribbon is a retired Wild Wasabi. Design inspired by a card on SCS by jenrn.

Under the Big Top is one of my favorite new stamp sets from the 2011-12 SU Idea Book and Catalog. I love the sentiments in this set. The image was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons. A little gold Smooch Spritz was added to the Real Red circle before gluing the image to it. A piece of retired Real Red ribbon was added to the Big Top Birthday DSP before gluing it to the Real Red card base.

Our theme this month is Fabulous Folds and one of my favorite cards made with a fabulous fold is a Tri Shutter card. It can be a little tricky to cut and score correctly but well worth the effort. The card below was made with the retired stamp sets Dream Garden, Embrace Life, and So Happy for You, Basic Black and River Rock card stock, and the new Fancy Fan letterpress plate. Most of the stamped images were heat embossed with either black embossing powder or a powder I bought in a local craft store called Red Dragon. The first photo shows the front of the card.

And the second photo is a side view of the card opened.

It's that time of year again, at least it is where I live (and work!). I love the Greeting Cards Kids stamp set and decided to make a card using some of SU's Designer Series Paper. This paper is the recently retired Love Letters. The image was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock, colored with watercolor pencils and a blender pen, then punched with the retired Spiral punch. A mini library clip was added to the top and a piece of linen thread was tied to one of the layers. Other card stock used was Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black. Design inspired by cards on SCS and a sketch on Operation Write Home.

This card was inspired by one posted to SCS by Cards4Ever and uses the Autumn Days stamp set. The image was stamped in Early Espresso ink on Shimmery White card stock and sponged with So Saffron, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze Classic inks. I haven't use Shimmery White much but really like the effect it gives on this card. The card base is Daffodil Delight with an Early Espresso border on the stamped image. The bottom half of the card front was embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder.

This card was CASEd from one by Michelerey on SCS. It was made with Happiest Birthday Wishes, one of the hostess stamp sets in the new 20011-12 Idea Book and Catalog from Stampin' Up! The stamps were colored with Stampin Write markers then stamped on Whisper White card stock. The card base is Rich Razzleberry card stock, the multi-colored paper is from the retired Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, and the ribbon is the retired Crushed Curry Polka-Dot grosgrain.

I love making patriotic cards for my father in law, Albin Hamilton. He's a great patriot, an Army veteran of WWII, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and is a wonderful father-in-law. This card was cased from one by staceyr4 at SCS. The stars were punched from Whisper White and embedded into the Night of Navy by running them through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice folder. The rubber on the stamp was colored with Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler markers then stamped onto Whisper White card stock.

Another card made with a soon to be retired stamp set called Tart and Tangy. It's a great little set - wish I'd taken photos of other projects I've made with it so I could share them with you. Any way, this card is shaped like a popsicle or ice cream bar and is as much fun to make as it is to give. When I embossed the orange slice I added a little plain (no sugar or sweetener) orange kool aid so it became a scratch 'n sniff card! Card stock used was Only Orange (retired) and Whisper White.

Card stock used to create this card were Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White. Stampin' Write markers were used to color the robot. The metal layer was cut from a soda can and embossed with an embossing folder from my stash. The "screw" is a brad also from my stash.

This scrapbook page is about my role models. Two women I admire and want to be like when I get older. The journaling was computer generated on a piece of card stock and punched with the spiral border punch. The patterned paper is from a pad I've had for a while. The flower was cut with a flower layers Sizzix die, crumpled and then the edges were sponged with ink. Rose Pink glitter was glued to the large brad in the center.

This was a quick and easy card using the a la carte stamp Sail Away from the Summer mini catalog. I used my Big Shot and Top Note die to cut that shape from Whisper White card stock. Then I stamped the sailboat image and sponged around the edge of the top note with Early Espresso Classic ink. Next I cut an oval from a scrap of card stock in my Big Shot and used the negative piece to sponge Marina Mist Classic ink over the sailboat. The top note piece was glued to a piece of Newsprint DSP which was glued to a Marina Mist card stock base. Quick and easy.

I used all three colors - Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, and Wild Wasabi - to emboss the line images from Awash with Flowers then colored them with a blender pen and Classic ink pads. Card stock used is Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, and Textured Wild Wasabi. The Scallop Trim Border punch and Beautiful Wings embosslit were used to add the final touches. When I saw how vibrant the colors of the new embossing powders are, I had to try them on black card stock. Look!The same mixture of Melon Mambo and Iridescent Ice embossing powder on the flower and Wild Wasabi on the leaves and stem on this card as the one I posted earlier. Basic Black Classic ink was used to stamp the dotted background on the Whisper White card stock. The image was matted on Melon Mambo card stock and retired Melon Mambo ribbon tied around it. I used to have a customer that would say at the beginning of every workshop "will we be embossing today?" Well, just wait until she sees the brand new brightly colored embossing powders in the new Summer mini catalog! The image on the card below was stamped with VersaMark then Wild Wasabi ep was sprinkled on the stem and leaves and a mixture of Iridescent Ice and Melon Mambo ep was sprinkled on the flower. Card stock used was Textured Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White. Wild Wasabi Classic ink was sponged on the Presto Pattern DSP to create the background layer. National Nurses' Day is this week so I made a card for two of my favorite nurses. My niece Jessica's card is below. The card stock is Rich Razzleberry because that is the color scrubs she wears to work. I used All in the Family stamp set, the Sizzix scalloped oval die, Perfect Details Texturz plate, and Word Window and Modern Label punches to create the card. The image was colored with SU markers and the greeting was computer generated and adhered to the card with Dimensionals. The card stock for the card for my other favorite nurse, my nephew Levi, was Night of Navy and instead of the scalloped oval die I used the oval Coluzzle and the other side of the Perfect Details Texturz plate on his card.

The last three summers I have participated in an online group called VC_Rocks. This virtual celebration of Stampin' Up! was started eleven years by a group of SU demonstrators who were unable to attend the annual SU convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's a wonderful time of stamping, swapping, learning, and meeting new people. It opened for returning members April 15th and will be accepting new members during the month of May. We have had daily challenges these first two weeks to get us warmed up and I just finished the last one this morning. The challenge was to find a photo in a non-paper crafting magazine, select 3 colors and match them to SU colors, then create a card using those colors plus 2 different kind of embellishments. I chose the photo below from Southern Living magazine and matched SU's Early Espresso, Old Olive, and Baja Breeze with it. Here is the card I created using those colors. The design was inspired by a card in an old SU catalog. The Baja Breeze layer was stamped with the retired Linen background stamp and a piece of Newsprint DSP was added to the Early Espresso strip. The two different embellishments are the decorative snap and the ribbon.

I had some Origami paper left over from another project so decided to try it on a card using the Dream Garden stamp. The image was heat embossed with VersaMark and Marina Mist Classic ink and clear embossing powder on Whisper White card stock then mounted on Basic Black card stock. A piece of gold elastic cord was wrapped around the image and mat before adhering it to the origami paper and white card base.

One of my very favorite Easter stamps is the Chocolate Bunny, a single stamp that retired last year. This stamp was also used to create one of the funniest cards I've ever seen. I CASE'd the one posted to SCS by KopyKat and sent it to our nephew who I knew would appreciate the humor. The card base is Early Espresso card stock and the DSP is Blushing Bride from the current hostess pack.

How about a sneak peek at one of the projects for stamp club this Saturday? The technique uses SU's waffle paper to create a scene that resembles a Japanese Shoji screen. The trims were punched from Rose Red, Baja Breeze, and Early Espresso card stock and the ribbon is Baja Breeze. I'm using this one at work so kept it fairly simple.

Today's project is not a card but an altered mini composition book. These can be purchased 3 for $1 at the Dollar Tree then dressed up or personalized to give as a small gift or stocking stuffer. This one features retired items - Pretty in Pink DSP from a past hostess pack and the stitched felt sweet pea flower. The binding could be Chocolate Chip card stock but I find Grungepaper painted with acrylic paint is more flexible and durable. A CAS (clean & simple) card inspired by one posted to SCS by SuG. Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Baja Breeze card stock were used. The image was stamped with Encore silver ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. The lines around the card were dry embossed with my scoring tool. Organdy ribbon was tied around the matted image.

This Graduated Accordion fold card was made using Love Letter DSP, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla card stock. The greetings are from the It's Your Birthday (retired) and On Your Birthday stamp sets and the butterfly stamps are from Flight of the Butterfly. The flourish is a $1 stamp I picked up at a local craft store. The Spiral Border punch was used on the front panel. I have a sister and brother in law who live on a farm and like chickens so when I saw a rooster Sizzix die on clearance a few months ago I bought it. I played around with it and cut out a couple of roosters but didn't have a project in mind so set them aside. Today, when I visited my friend Ellen's blog, I knew exactly what to do with them! Here's my version of Spring Chicken inspired by Ellen. Card stock used was Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, and a scrap of beige non-SU card stock that was on my desk. The rooster was cut from a scrap of retired Night and Day DSP and the Peach Parfait DSP is from the current hostess paper pack. The greeting was computer generated and punched with the large oval and layered on a scalloped oval.

Here's a little card in honor of St Patrick's Day. The card base is Garden Green card stock cut with the Top Note die in my Big Shot. The four leaf clovers (considered by some to be the original shamrock) is from the Sale-A-Bration set So Happy for You and stamped in Garden Green Classic ink on Whisper White card stock. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set punched with the large oval and scalloped oval punches and popped up on the card with Stampin Dimensionals.

This masculine card was CASEd from one by Ann Schach that I saw on SCS. The image is from In Wilderness and cardstock used is Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, and Garden Green. One layer of the Soft Suede was embossed with a bit of Early Espresso ink applied to the folder before running it through the Big Shot. The edges of the card stock were distressed and sponged with Early Espresso ink. I didn't have a green button so made one using Garden Green card stock and the Sweet Buttons Embosslit in the Spring Occasions mini catalog. The stitching was done with brown embroidery floss.

I received a nice surprise from Carol Parcell yesterday. Her blog is one that I follow because I like her stamping style and because she posts both cards and scrapbook pages. Her post yesterday was about how she was nominated for the Liebster award.

This is CASEd from a card I saw on SCS created by Wendy Janson. She also posted it to her blog and you can see it here. Her card was so pretty I had to try creating one like it. I used Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Whisper White card stock and Concord Crush for the base. Stamp sets are Fast and Fabulous and Whimsical Words. I used a blender pen and ink pressed into the lid of the stamp pad to color the flowers.

Tired of winter? Think spring! Card base is Not Quite Navy, the bird house was cut from a wood sheet and sponged with Soft Suede. The roof is the inside of a soda can colored with alcohol ink and punched using the scallop border punch. The door is a Basic Black circle layered on a Garden Green scalloped circle. The bird was punched from retired Bella Bleu DSP. The paper flowers have glitter centers on Garden Green leaves cut from the Little Leaves Sizzlit in the Big Shot.

As promised, this bendy fold card is my design. I made it for someone who is a Tinkerbell fan. The fireworks are embossed with a red and gold glittery embossing powder called Red Dragon on Very Vanilla card stock and a little of the gold Smooch Spritz. Tink was cut and embossed from gold vellum, and the dotted paper is from a glitter stack in my stash. The sentiment was printed using a Disney font on my computer. (I have over 700 fonts...love 'em!!) The ribbon is gold organza and the card base is Tempting Turquoise card stock. Oh, and the best part about this card is that if you take the tabs out of the slots it lays flat and can be sent through the mail!

I just love the ease and simplicity of the letterpress plates. The Lots of Love plate was inked with a VersaMark pad and run through the Big Shot with Cherry Cobbler card stock. White organdy ribbon was tied around it then adhered to a white card stock base. Two scalloped edge hearts were cut with some nestability dies, a sentiment from the You're a Gem set stamped on the small Cherry Cobbler one, and adhered to the card.

My project is a Valentine card made with the Inlaid Embossing technique and features a few new products from the Occasions mini catalog. The center heart is Glimmer Paper cut in my Big Shot with a Sizzlits die. I love how shiny and glittery it is. But the best part is that the glitter doesn't come off! The other hearts were punched from Poppy Parade card stock with the Heart to Heart punch and embossed onto Naturals White card stock with the Square Lattice embossing folder. The sentiment stamp is from the new You're a Gem set stamped in Poppy Parade Classic ink on Naturals White card stock, punched with the large oval punch and mounted on Poppy Parade card stock punched with the scalloped oval. The card base is, you guessed it, Poppy Parade and the trinket key is tied to 1/4 inch gross grain ribbon in Whisper White.

Have you tried one of the Letterpress plates yet? It debosses instead of embossing like the folders when used with the Big Shot. On the card below the Lots of Love letterpress plate was used to create the background on ivory paper with Regal Rose ink. Victoria Crochet Trim was wrapped around it and tied in a knot. The little girl image is from the Greeting Card Kids set, stamped in StazOn on watercolor paper and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons. After coloring I covered the heart she is holding with Zig Two Way glue and red glitter. The image was mounted on Blushing Bride cardstock and adhered to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals. The card base is Soft Suede cardstock.

One more Christmas card and another easel card. Card stock used was Whisper White for the Santa image, Cherry Cobbler, and River Rock for the base. The patterned paper is from my stash. Santa was colored with blender pens and ink. I used Smooch Accent Ink on his beard, moustache, eyebrows and the white on his cap. I also added a little Dazzling Diamonds on the fur of his cap. The scallop circle and bookplate holding the greeting were cut with Sizzix dies in my Big Shot. Two gold brads hold the bookplate in place.

My sisters and I get together to stamp once a month and usually have a challenge of some kind. This month's challenge was to make a card from the SCS sketch below. Here is my sister Lauren's card using the Jolly Old St Nick and Teeny Tiny Wishes sets.

My sister Sarah used a retired set to create the poinsettias on the card below. She also chose the retired set So Many Sayings and the Modern Label punch for the sentiment.

I also used a retired set, Basket Full of Fun, for my card below. Card stock used is Wild Wasabi, Brushed Gold, Whisper White, and Cherry Cobbler for the card base. The patterned paper is from my stash. The ornaments in the basket were embossed using Gold Encore ink and Gold embossing powder.

I like how this card turned out. (Although the scan is a little crooked, the card isn't.) I stamped the snowman from Jolly Old St Nick on Whisper White and colored him with Stampin Write markers and stamped the sentiment in Marina Mist with a stamp from a retired hostess set called So Many Sayings. Then I embossed it in the Northern Flurry embossing folder, spritzed a little Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on it, added Dazzling Diamonds glitter where the stamped imagine indicated snow and adhered it to a Marina Mist card base.

In addition to stamping and scrapbooking I enjoy spending time with our dogs. We have three American Eskimos so when I saw this stamp, I had to have it. The sky was sponged with Night of Navy and Dazzling Diamonds glitter was used on the snow. The card base is Handsome Hunter (retired) and the trees are from Lovely as a Tree.

When I saw this tutorial on SplitCoastStampers for a paper doll made with oragami paper, I had to try it. Here's my first attempt on a birthday card for my sister in law. The images from Embrace Life and In Wilderness are stamped in Wild Wasabi on Shimmer card stock. The card base is Blushing Bride.

Here's another card using the toilet paper technique to create the red and gold background. This card was cased from Joyce Pacer who taught me the technique. A Cardinal Christmas stamp set was used on Whisper White, and Basic Black card stock. The image was colored with a blender pen and watercolor pencils.

Hope you enjoyed the SU-STARS blog hop last weekend. There were so many pretty cards and projects! I made note of several that I plan on copying so you may see them, or a variation of them, here in the next few weeks. These cards were made with the builder wheel from the Holiday mini catalog. I really like the builder wheels! So many combinations and ways to use them. For these, I left the center slot empty so I could use ribbon there. This one was colored with Stampin' Pastels and has retired DSP and ribbon in Old Olive and Real Red. This one also has retired DSP and ribbon and a corduroy brad in Real Red. It was colored with a blender pen and ink.

It is embossed on Whisper White card stock and the sentiment from A Cardinal Christmas is stamped in Real Red Classic ink. The ornament is punched from a scrap of flocked paper from the retired Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series. It is attached to the Whisper White card stock with Stampin' Dimensionals over Real Red satin ribbon then adhered to the Real Red card stock base. Card design by Joyce Pacer. I learned a new technique this week. It's called the toilet paper technique and makes a gorgeous background for cards and other projects. Dasher was stamped in Encore! silver metallic ink on Whisper White card stock, embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder then layered on Night of Navy card stock. The card base is also Night of Navy.

I love the Greeting Card Kids stamp set! It reminds me of images from my childhood. This card is copied from the one in the SU Idea Book and Catalog. The card base is one of the In Colors, Blushing Bride, and snowflakes from the Serene Snowflakes set was stamped in Champagne VersaMark Dazzle watermark ink to create a subtle background. The music background stamp from my stash is stamped in Basic Black on Very Vanilla card stock. The sentiment from A Cardinal Christmas is stamped in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla card stock but before I stamped the sentiment, I lightly sprayed the card stock with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. It is punched with the Modern Label punch. The little girl is stamped in Black StazOn on water color paper and colored with Watercolor Wonder Crayons. Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink was used to color the trim on her coat and hat and Taffy Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink was used to color the tree ornaments. Snowflakes were also stamped around her in the Champagne VersaMark ink. Other accessories used were Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Silver Glass Glitter, and Victoria Crochet Trim.

It's been a while since I've had time to stamp so I spent several hours in my studio this weekend making up for lost time! Here's a Thanksgiving easel card that was easy and fun to make. The pumpkins and leaf are from the Autumn Harvest set and stamped on Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Old Olive card stock. The turkey is the single Gobble, Gobble stamp on River Rock heat embossed in Early Espresso and mounted on a scalloped circle cut from a Sizzix die in my Big Shot. The sentiment from Gobble Gobble is stamped in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake card stock, punched with the Word Window punch, and mounted on Early Espresso punched with the Modern Label punch. The card base is also Early Espresso and the DSP is retired Apple Cider. Linen thread is tied on an retired Sage Shadow button.
